DATES
Thursday 7th September 7.30pm – Ladies Group meet at the Village Hall with talk on ‘Bess of Hardwick Hall’. Visitors and new members are always welcome to attend the monthly meetings as a visitor or new member.
Thursday 14th September at 7.30pm – Parish Council Meeting. Residents are welcome to attend to bring up any matters of concern.
Saturday 9th September – Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust ‘Ride and Stride’; posters and leaflets in Church. Volunteers to meet and greet in the church needed. More information from Mary on 770242. This very generous Trust has been a great help to St John’s in the past so we need some younger participants this year to fill the gaps left by some retired riders.
Saturday 9th September – Bingo is back in the hall at 5pm. Please see posters. Tickets are available from Mary on 770242.
FETE
100 club draw on Wednesday 27th September at 8.30pm in the Plough. Some numbers are still available from Judy.
CHURCH
Harvest Thanksgiving service – 8th October 11am. Any fruit, veg and flowers are very welcome. Decorating will take place on Saturday 7th. The sale in aid of charity will be after the service.
FOOD BANK
