CALDECOTT FETE

The Fete on July 4th was a jolly occasion, with all the usual attractions. We were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff, who officially opened the Fete and toured the site, including having a go at the circus skills while wearing full court dress! We are very grateful to her for joining us.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the afternoon such a success. This includes not only those who helped on the day, but also everyone who put in so much hard work during the months of preparation beforehand.

The wind-up meeting was held on July 27th, when we discovered that four stalwart helpers will not be available next year. We will therefore be looking for new committee members to enable us to hold the event again next July.

More information will follow nearer the time, with the next meeting planned for March 2027.

The profit from the afternoon was £2,151.00, bringing the total funds in hand to £3,516.33.

It was decided to donate £1,600 each to the Village Hall and the Church, leaving £316.33 in funds.

WELL DONE, EVERYONE!
