The link below takes you to the Lyddington Benefice webpage. You can then click on ‘The Newsletter’ on the left-hand menu. There will be two versions – an A4 version to read on screen and a version set to print out as a booklet. On phones and some tablets you may need to click on the three short horizontal lines at the top of the page to see the menu.

May Caldecott News
DATES:-
Thursday 11th May – Annual Parochial Church Meeting at 7.30pm in the church. Please come along to encourage our small and recently depleted, committee who work so hard to keep the church going.
Saturday 13th May at 10am – the Fete committee will be checking over the gazebos so could do with more helpers.
Tuesday 30th May at 7.30pm in the Hall – Parish Council AGM – all welcome.
WI – sadly disbanded after many years but a new Ladies group is planned (Jenny Betts has information.)
Wednesday 31st May 100 club draw in the Plough at 8.30pm.
Talking of the Plough – congratulations to Debbie and Gene for their recent and well earned award.
FETE NEWS – the next meeting is planned for 16th May at 7.30pm in the Hall but please check with June (770046) or Mary (770242) as it may have to be changed.
Items are needed for ‘Grannies attic’ – no clothing or electrical donations please; also empty and full screw topped wine bottles, tombola and raffle prizes. Please contact June or Mary as these can be stored in the Hall if you are having a sort out.

CHURCH NEWS– many thanks to all who donated towards the easter lilies and daffodils; they looked and smelled wonderful and lasted for 3 weeks. The daffs will be planted in the churchyard for future enjoyment. Thanks to our talented decorators.
A HUGE thanks to Dale, Gary, Jake and Frank who have already been hard at work in the Churchyard and on the Hall Green. We are extraordinarily lucky to have such a brilliant mowing team and do not want to lose them; they may be a bit shorthanded in high summer so if anyone can spare the odd hour to assist please contact Mary on 770242. Mowers and fuel provided.
DOG WALKERS – PLEASE do not allow your dog to foul these and other public areas in the village as this is a health hazard to playing children, disrespectful to grieving families and can wreck the machines.
CORONATION PARTY – SATURDAY 6TH MAY FROM 12 NOON UNTIL 6PM. BYO BARBEQUE ITEMS, PICNICS AND DRINKS, ALL WELCOME. BBQ’s will be provided. Live music, Royal themed fancy dress for children, home made crown – children, royal themed cupcakes or biscuits – children and adults. COME AND JOIN THE FUN. Bells will be rung in the morning.
