NEWS

Food Bank

Last month we delivered 10 boxes/bags to the pick-up point and have some ready for this month. Thanks to all the generous people. Three large empty shopping bags are at 14 Main Street for the owners to collect.

Remembrance Sunday

The service was taken by The Rev’d Canon Jane Baxter with John Hindle playing the organ. Harry Ashcroft came from London to play the Last Post – the first time we have had a ‘live’ trumpeter for several years, so we thank them all. The open collection of £90 has been sent to the Poppy Appeal.

Quiz

This enjoyable annual event had seven teams who battled to a close finish with some interesting questions; the winning team was the 83½%. Thanks to our Rector for being the question master and all the helpers who cooked and served the supper. £363 was raised for Church funds.
